About the Event

Pedagogically meaningful integration of AI into language teaching

This workshop brings together language teachers from EuroTeQ partner universities and beyond to exchange practices and critically evaluate the use of AI in language teaching and learning in higher education.

The event combines short presentations, peer-led case studies, hands-on workshops, interdisciplinary discussion, and collaborative curriculum design. Rather than debating AI in the abstract, we will work with concrete classroom practice: what teachers actually do, what students actually experience, and what we can build together.

Tested Activities

Produce a set of tested, practical AI-supported language learning activities ready for the classroom.

Methodological Framework

Draft an initial methodological framework for AI in university language education.

Shared Repository

Lay the foundation for a shared EuroTeQ repository of teaching materials.

Three core themes

  • Day 1 — Teacher Agency: educators' perspectives, workflows, and pedagogical choices
  • Day 2 — Student Agency: learner autonomy, AI-mediated learning, and student interaction
  • Day 3 — Joint Implementation: collaborative design and hands-on material development
Program
